Engineering Technician / CAD Manager
Responsible for space planning, construction documentation and construction project management (COTR) of all in-house projects for a 36 building campus (Appox. 1.5 million sq. ft.). Instrumental in creating CAD layering standards as well as CAFM facility standards, and specifying a networked engineering computing environment including IT system support. Also responsible for implementing and coordinating a standardized computer aided facility management (CAFM) program which included a facility maintenance program and engineering data analysis pertaining to facility “as-built†drawings. Additional responsibilities included ownership for all virtual (electronic) and physical (hard copy) files/libraries; document control management system (specification, implementation and access/control), as well as drawing and layering standards/implementation and project cost analysis/estimates. VA Connecticut representative for the National VA CAD & CAFM standards program.

This project, with a total cost of $5.5 million dollars, combined new construction and renovation of an existing school facility. I was personally accountable for interior/architectural design and detailing, construction documentation, and project coordination/management with in-house structural, mechanical, and electrical design team members as well as outside vendors.
Other responsibilities included interior finish specifications, interior architectural detailing, and interior lighting design applicable to: a day care center, aerobic/fitness center, auditorium, natatorium, as well as general office space. The project also consisted of a design that linked the existing main lobby to a new natatorium building.
