My duties included locating and identification of potential projects to bid, obtaining rights to bid. Upon obtaining the right to bid I would identify subcontractors and solicit bids from them. Digital plans would be sent through a ftp site. I would then collect the bids and put them into a Excel spreadsheet for the estimator to review. Upon winning the bid I would buy out the project, write the contracts and all follow up once the project had started.
