Managed all phases Facility/Manufacturing/Service/Maintenance Management, Energy Management, Director of new and upgrade Construction – renovation & additions the fabrication and installation of process and production lines, control equipment, and ancillary manufacturing equipment from initial set-up through operation for this global supplier to original equipment automotive markets in North America. Provided technical expertise to develop products and correct manufacturing problems on existing production lines through improved automation and retrofit of these lines.
Plant Engineer
Primary responsibilities included maintenance of all Racemark FACILITIES & Manufacturing (North America and Europe), plant equipment and grounds which involved the installation of new equipment, fabrication of new equipment for in-house manufacturing operations, modification of existing equipment to upgrade production operations, and the direct supervision of plant maintenance personnel. Initiated a preventative maintenance program and instructed in-plant technicians in proper equipment maintenance and repair.
Additional activity included troubleshooting problems in electronic, microprocessor, mechanical, and hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, as well as HVAC and Source Energy general repair of plant and facility equipment including all building monitoring & energy systems (fork trucks – lifts –electric & propane). Worked with outside contractors for new equipment installations, including review of schematics and blueprints for proper operation. Maintained a satellite pumping station supplying the plant’s fire protection system to include monitoring equipment and flow rates.
Key Accomplishments:
â–ª Headed team to move Georgia manufacturing plant to new facility; charged with task of setting up and getting operational a $350K project that
came in ahead of schedule and $50K under budget as well as running uninterrupted product servicing for our customers.
â–ª Provided specifications, installed and integrated $2.3M extrusion line and a $500K support lab line for floor mat manufacturing operations.
â–ª Promoted to Corporate Special Project Engineer/general contractor charged with task of the design, set up, and installation of a floor mat
manufacturing plant in Switzerland, a $1.1M project.

Performance-based career advancement with Interstate from Chief Engineer to role as Plant Engineer/Facility Maintenance Director charged with carrying out the following responsibilities: Work assignment and distribution of maintenance engineering personnel, design, fabrication and installation of new production equipment, revamping and rebuilding existing machinery, purchasing of replacement parts for repairing, and upgrading bakery equipment.
