I worked as a traveling superintendent for a large commercial construction company based in Houston, Texas. I worked primarily in the Western US, building retail stores for several nation-wide chains. I was responsible for obtaining permits, jobsite walk-throughs scheduling subcontractors, and the supervision of the projects from preconstruction meetings to obtaining the C of O’s and client turnover.

Kindercourt Day Care Center, San Carlo
Remodel of existing building plus new addition to create a state of the art child care center for thirty children.
Charles Schwab Investment Office, Menlo Park,
Complete remodel of existing offices, in phases, while occupied and fully operational throughout construction. Project included new offices, lobby, and restrooms.
2002 - 2003 COMMERCIAL SUPERINTENDENT
J.M. STITT CONSTRUCTION - BREA, CA
Loehmann’s Department Store, San Francisco, CA
A four-story remodel and expansion, this project included two floors of remodel of existing sales area and two floors of expansion including seismic upgrades to a 100 year old, 10 story, historically significant building in San Francisco’s Financial District. The expansion phase also included the structural upgrades for and the installation of two stories of new escalators.

XL CONSTRUCTION- SAN JOSE, CA

Healtheon/Web MD N.O.C. and Data Center Expansion,-Santa Clara, CA
A fast -track design /build project to construct an additional 8000sf Network Operation Center (N.O.C.) room to an already operational facility. This is Healtheon/WebMD’s U.S. main N.O.C. facility. Major roof structure upgrades were required for the extensive electrical system improvements. Also added were an FM 200 Fire Suppression System throughout, a UPS system, and 2- 400kW backup generators.
Harker School , San Jose,
2000 s.f. commercial kitchen remodel with addition of walk-in freezer/cooler. All new commercial kitchen equipment and exhaust hoods installed.
Agile Software, San Jose, CA
A 10,000sf tenant improvement to the entire 6th floor of a 12-story office tower in downtown San Jose. This project added 1,000sf onto Agile’s server room and computer lab, and 9,000sf to their office space. Project included the addition of a 40 ton roof mounted chilling tower and floor mounted Leibert cooling units, both requiring substantial structural upgrades to the floor system and 12th floor roof system.

Orchard Supply Hardware
Six new Orchard Supply hardware stores in existing, remodeled buildings, (average of 45,000sf); various locations including the Bay Area and Las Vegas, NV.
Target, San Jose, CA
New additions, and complete remodels to two existing Target stores in San Jose, CA. (average of 120,000sf). Both stores were open 16 hours a day throughout the entire course of construction.
All depts. were remodeled w/ new display fixtures, T-bar ceilings, lighting, carpet, paint, neon signage. Roofing and HVAC replaced as required.
Target, San Bruno, CA
A new Target store built in an existing three story, 180,00sf building. This project included new elevators, an escalator core, a new facade, new pedestrian bridges to an existing parking structure, 2 restaurants, and over $4.5 million in seismic retrofit.
Citicorp Western Regional Card Processing Facility, Las Vegas, NV
This totally secured, 200,000sf building operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the remodel. This project included relocating a clean room, computer server rooms, the customer service dept., a mail processing operation which handled over $4 billion a week in billings, all with no disruption to ongoing operations.
Mid-Peninsula Jewish Day School, Palo Alto, CA
This 30,000sf ground up, 2 story, private school with full basement and elevator, “industrial modern†building has been awarded several architectural prizes
