Objective & Summary
Education and professional skills are geared towards civil engineering. College coursework electives include civil, construction management, geotechnical, structural, environmental, and transportation engineering. Experienced in testing mechanical properties of a variety of different materials, geotechnical/soil testing, fluids laboratory testing, and using computer-aided design programs. Structural design experience includes designing steel structures and concrete foundations for use in industrial facilities. Possess field experience working in oil refineries and coal-fired power plants. Seeking to obtain an opportunity where I can utilize my educational background and professional work experiences to develop a career in the field of civil engineering.
Education

· Supported design and construction of a combined-cycle power plant by designing structural steel and reinforced concrete foundations using STAAD and standard hand calculations
· Reviewed Shop drawings and Engineering design drawings to complete engineering designs
· Instructed other engineers in the use and implementation of computer-aided design programs
· Managed structural designers in the creation of engineering design drawings
Shaw Group/Stone & Webster, Cherry Hill, NJ
Engineer I, October 2006 – May 2008
· Conducted preliminary designs and calculations for steel and concrete quantity estimates to be used in initial Project bids
· Investigated and modified existing structural steel and corresponding concrete foundations for compatibility with new modifications, in order to fall in compliance with EPA regulations for coal-fired power plants
· Coordinated with civil, structural, electrical, process, mechanical, and piping engineers to complete engineering designs
· Designed structural steel and pile foundations using computer aided design programs and standard hand calculations
· Coordinated with client, construction personnel, and staff engineers to ensure projects met desired specifications
· Involved with aspects of EPC contracts including initial bid, final design, permitting, and construction
TRS Staffing Solutions, Media, PA
Field/Design Engineer, June 2005- June 2006
· Performed on-site analysis to verify suitability for proposed modifications of steel structures and corresponding foundations, and recommended design modifications based off of on-site analysis
· Coordinated with construction personnel to implement new design specifications in accordance with project requirements
· Field experience working in oil refineries
· Designed steel structures and concrete foundations to support equipment designed to fulfill new EPA mandates
