Human Resources Director
Based out of their Pompano Beach corporate office, responsible for the entire employment and training functions of the company. Specific responsibilities included the following:
· Directing and coordinating the company’s overall employment function including budget planning for recruiting and training.
· Planning, implementing, evaluating and updating policies and practices relating to all phases of personnel activity.
· Compliance with all related federal and state employment laws and reporting requirements, including but not limited to, Title VII, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, IRCA, EEO-1, VETS 100, Affirmative Action, NLRA, Davis-Bacon Act, union contracts, workers’ compensation and OSHA reporting
· Resolving all employment/labor/benefit/safety issues. Investigation of any EEOC discrimination charges, preparing and submitting responses and maintaining EEO and Affirmative Action plan compliance.
· Employee and executive coaching, counseling and performance action planning.
· Managing the annual performance appraisal process.
· Recruiting, behavioral interviewing, attending college job fairs and selection of applicants to fill all vacant positions from hourly to executive positions using an applicant tracking system for organization.

· Planning and conducting new employee orientations and on boarding to foster positive attitude toward company’s strategic goals.
· Yearly marketing, implementing, and daily administration of all benefit plans to provide highest ROI for company. Plans included 401K, medical, dental, vision, LTD, STD, life, EAP, Sec 125 plan, etc… Compliance with benefit laws such as ERISA, HIPPA and COBRA.
· Administering background checks and DOT and Non-DOT drug testing programs.
· Planning and presenting training programs, including conducting need assessment surveys.
· Handling employee terminations and all related exit administration including COBRA and unemployment processing.
· Intermittent processing of payroll and 401K 5500 reporting requirements.
· Conducting wage surveys within labor markets to determine competitive wage rates while overseeing and reviewing Annual Compensation Plan.
· Managing and tracking company-wide attendance and time-off plans.
· Working closely with Safety Manager to update workplace safety policies and procedures for OSHA compliance and injury rate reduction. Assisting with submissions of annual OSHA reports, site safety inspections, worker’s comp. administration tasks/follow up. Coordinating OSHA 100/500 certification training for the workforce and maintaining certification training database for reporting requirements.
Key accomplishments include:
· Developed and implemented company’s Corporate on-line University Program with over 500 course opportunities, known as “CBUâ€
