Public Works Director/City Engineer
Served as the administrator of the Public Works Department. Set and implemented plans and objectives to improve productivity, efficiencies and meet the departmental goals and objectives to meet the community needs.
Responsibility extended to long-range planning, providing managerial oversight to subordinates in planning and implementing programs in the department; coordinating the programs and activities of the divisions of Traffic, Maintenance, Engineering, and Landscaping; determining program priorities through the budget process;
As the Director, I provided considerable and frequent contacts with the City Manager, City Council, other department directors, representatives of state and local governments, the Federal government, utilities, contractors, consulting engineers and the public.

• Prepared and ensured fiscal responsibility of the department budget;

SAMPLE PROJECT EXPERIENCE
• Indian Wells Golf Resort Renovation, and the IW Club, Clubhouse, Indian Wells, California. Project Manager directing and administering all aspects of this exclusive project from inception to completion. Additionally, assembling the consulting and construction teams. Finally, overseeing the construction of this project from conceptual design all the way to punch list completion. This Home of the LG Skins Game and the only 36-hole facility in California with both courses ranked in the Top 20 "Best Courses You Can Play" in California by Golf Week Magazine. The 53,000 square-foot IW Club houses a spectacular golf shop. The IW Club’s was designed to take advantage of the commanding views of the golf course and surrounding mountains
• Fred Waring Drive Widening, Indian Well/Palm Desert, CA. This 3.5-Mile portion of a major thoroughfare transportation corridor is only the second to two major transportation corridors serving the Coachella Valley in the east-west direction. Despite the challenge of convincing residents along the banks of this major corridor to accept this regionally needed project, it was successfully completed and funded. Responsibilities included assembling the design teams, overseeing the conceptual development, reviewing and approving construction documents, bidding, awarding and administering the construction. The project included building sound walls, right of way acquisition, widening the road from four to six lanes, rehabilitation, and modifying all the signals and synchronizing them.
• Mountain View Villas Phases I, II affordable Housing Projects, Indian Wells, CA. Indian Wells is required to build and provide affordable housing. Nearly three hundred units were designed in an architectural fashion to look like exclusive large homes on the outside. Responsible for overseeing the design and the construction of these units. To complete this project, permits were required from various governmental agencies including the Army Corp, California Fish and Game, State Water Quality Control Board, and the Coachella Valley Water District.

Served in the capacity of design engineer/project manager responsible for several subdivision designs of civil improvements including grading, domestic water, sanitary sewer, roadways, and storm drain improvements.
