Architectural Collaborative Inc., Tampa, Florida
Consultant (Titled: Director of Construction) October 2010 -
Interviewed with this company in August of 2010 and while they were interested retaining my services,
they could not afford me. In November the owner called and asked if I would be interested
in a consultant’s position for the following projects:
Waste oil Refinery for Submarine Spruce Water in Groton, CT. The project was seven months behind schedule and I replaced the super and took over as project manager for four months until a replacement was hired. Currently the project is nearly complete and testing has commenced.. The Owner is now satisfied and looking forward to accepting the facility.
Lighting Manufacturing Plant in Ormond Beach, FL. This project was even further behind schedule due to both ACI and the owners constant plan changes. When I first visited the project tensions were high. I fired the super and made the project manager the super and I assumed the project manager position. Currently, the project is complete waiting only for installation of the Owners on order machinery. The Owner is very pleased with his new building.
New Project:
Joint Venture Design Build of 225 Senior Living Units in Charleston, SC. New award for conversion of a 1940’s High School into a Senior Residential Living Facility. I have been tasked with subcontractor negotiations and awarding subsequent contracts, preparing the schedule of values, hiring and training the site staff and undertaking initial asbestos and lead abatement.
