Experience 2007-2009 (April) Emmcon, Inc. La Jolla, CA.Project Mgr.//General ContractorWhole House remodel & restoration of a Historical 90yr. old home in La Jolla, CA. for an active NFL player. Originally the home was 4107SF, when completed it is 7107SFAfter demolishing 50% of the existing home, the entire building was shored up to allow the excavation of approx. 850 cu.yds. of soil which allowed the construction of the Basement’s 12 foot high block walls and the receiving well for the Carlift system. Carlift takes the vehicles from street level to Basement level. The home has an Elevator, separate Wine Cellar (was a bomb shelter), curved Lift & Slide doors, freestanding, winding staircase, Walnut floors/stairs, Handmade stair railings, etc.
2005-2006 Paul Hock Residence Solana Beach, CA.Project/Const. Mgr.Paul Hock, AIA, designed and permitted his 6000SF Contemporary home and my Subs and I built it for he and his wife.This home was constructed on an overgrown, natural hillside. Major excavations were required to permit the construction of the subterranean first floor. Two additional floors project above the Basement. The home has an Elevator and Pecan Floors along with Stainless Steel Interior and Exterior Guard/Handrails.
2001-2005 Christman Development Rancho Santa Fe, CA.Project/Const. Mgr.2002-2003: Demolished an existing 6000SF home on a 3 Acre site, removed all vegetation and constructed a building pad ready to accept a 10,000SF new home. Stopped at that point as the lot was sold.2002-2005: Worked on my own performing several High-End, ASID Designer drawn, Kitchen & Bath remodels all over San Diego county.
2000-2001 Carter/Christman Dev. Rancho Santa Fe, CA.Project/Const. Mgr.2001 Tour D’Elegance Designer Showcase is a 7800SF Ultra High End home in Rancho Santa Fe.This home had a nine-month schedule due to the fact that it was the Showcase Home for the Tour and had to be ready for Opening Day of the Tour. Fifty-Two thousand people went through the home during the month of August 2001. Seventeen ASID designers were involved, two in each space of the home. The Pool is one-of-a-kind (for this area) Of the four homes involved in the Tour; it was awarded the Showcase Award for that year.
Summary From 1991 to 2000, I lived and worked in the Hawaiian Islands. I went there originally to supervise and build a large custom designed by a Rancho Santa Fe Architect. Due to the way the home turned out, I was awarded four more large homes plus work on the outer Islands (Kauai & Maui)I and a partner supervised the construction of 13 homes (10 customs, three specs) in Fairbanks Ranch (a gated community within Rancho Santa Fe)I have traveled overseas for one company and ended up working for an Oil Sheik building his 15,000SF single story home in a desert enclave named Abqaiq, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.I am a GC and my license is active/current. I also do commercial/retail/T.I. work.
