Oct. 1997 Serv Tech Group, Serv Tech Inc. Ft. Lauderdale, FL Sept. 2000
President, Vice President
Bought 49% interest in Serv Tech Inc. and formed Serv Tech Group with 51% interest. Existing company Serv Tech Inc. was predominately petroleum pump and tank installation company with annual sales of $1.2 million. Formed Serv Tech Group with my General Construction license so that we could do 100% of the project in house for oil companies (site, building & underground petroleum). I streamlined all departments and implemented a job costing accounting system to track cost for each project. I immediately started marketing the Major Oil and Fortune 500 companies immediately by showing them the advantages and cost savings of using one contractor that could do both scopes of work in house which was very unique at that time in the marketplace. Some of our clients that we were performing services for included Mobil Oil, Shell Oil, Amoco Oil, Racetrac Petroleum, Hess Oil, Dollar Rent A Car, Auto Nation, Ryder Truck, Chevron Oil, Costco, McDonald's and various marinas in Florida. I sold the companies three years later after successfully raising annual sales to $8.6 million while also increasing gross profit margin.
