Projects in which associated, included but was not limited to, tank farm upgrades located at the ConocoPhillips, Hartford, Il. Terminal which A&L was the General Contractor, ElPaso Energy at Denver, Co. General Contractor installing deep ditch pipelines, metering stations and compressor station controls upgrade and provided corporate support for the Tigris River Pipeline Project. This project was located at Al Fatha, Iraq in which A&L was the General Contractor and Parson’s Engineering and Construction/Parsons Iraq Joint Venture was the Prime Contractor working in conjunction with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and North Iraq Oil Company. This project restored incoming oil supply deep ditch pipelines to the existing NOC refinery and outgoing product pipelines to Turkey, the Iraq Power generation plant and other end users.
I was assigned to the construction team as the partner representative/Project Manager to facilitate and implement front end activities to construct a $120MM pipe manufacturing facility at Port Bienville, MS together with the Indian Partner PSL Limited. This also included working with local, county and state government authorities to acquire all necessary permits, including the US Army Corp of Engineers and managed the total reconstruction of the McDonald Training Center, approximately (17000 square feet) at Port Bienville to serve as the administrative offices for PSL North America.

Originally scheduled for 10 months of duty I was extended to 2.1/2 years of duty functioning as General Contractor, we successfully completed a total of 9, simultaneous major lump sum contracts at the Ft. Greely, Alaska Missile Defense Complex for the United States Army Corp of Engineers totaling approximately $40 million dollars. These projects included direct bury underground pipelines with heat trace systems encompassing 36,000 linear feet of rocket fuel piping including newly constructed compression station and branch line underground piping to individual missile silos in accordance with stringent government, ASME and DOT specifications, 1,800 linear feet of underground concrete utilidor with multiple interior utility piping systems, communications and low voltage electrical and lighting ductbanks totaling over 19,000 linear feet of service piping and 21,600 linear feet of multiple conduit, shielded and non-shielded, duct banks, 3 major boiler systems including 3-30,000 gallon Jet Fuel (JP-8) fabricated fuel tanks and associated distribution piping and monitoring systems. Also included HVAC equipment and ductwork installations in 4 newly constructed buildings including the missile guidance system computer cooling and 1 system in an existing electrical power producing facility.

These projects were the recipient of KBR’s Safe Project of the Year Award in July 2002 for the year of 2001. There were numerous projects including underground concrete duct bank installations within operating facilities, plant wide instrumentation and electrical upgrade and several incoming large pipelines (deep ditch with maximum pipe diameter of 96â€), mechanical distribution pumping/compression, waste water treatment facility upgrade and product piping upgrade projects at both facilities including intricate computerized monitoring and control systems. Average annual revenue 36 million dollars.

KBR as the Prime Contractor, I had the responsibility for Construction and Engineering activities of a Concrete 150,000 square foot multi story Administration and Control Building located at the Exxon Mobile Singapore Chemical Complex in Singapore including infrastructure (Heavy Highway and Causeway Bridge, Heavy Haul Roads to accommodate the transportation of heavy refinery equipment, pre-fabricated structures and future commuter traffic), construction of a new waste water treatment facility and oily water treatment facility (separation and extraction), electrical and control duct banks to chemical plant facilities. This High Electromagnetic Pulse protected building housed the most sophisticated process and controls systems in the world in which was installed as part of this project. This contract also involved various battery limit pipeline and mechanical installations at locations for the refining units. Total Contract value 425 million dollars. Overall Project value $1.8B.

This construction project included the installation of a new distillation process facility, both incoming raw material (oil sand slurry [84†deep ditch due to temperature extremes] and outgoing product (crude oil) pipelines, pump stations, infrastructure and support facilities.
