Revamped business model to offer new line of business. Company was awarded a contract to build 80,000 sq-ft. of industrial buildings for Westinghouse Corporation. Civil engineering construction projects were the company's main line of business. Implementation plan included cross training current staff and sourcing & hiring new staff. Results: Business expanded based on success of the project. The company grew from a $3 million per year to a $15 million per year business.
Awarded a two million dollar contract that set the stage for a multi-million dollar business relationship. A major customer in the Dominican Republic opened bids for an Architectural Concrete Building. Developed a proposal that would deliver the project 25% below the competition. Implemented cutting-edge work methods, sourced low profile subs and negotiated with established suppliers, which significantly reduced the operating budget without reducing the quality of the final product. Results: Completed the project on-time and received additional contracts valued at over $4 million dollars in total.
Completed a project milestone in a bridge project with minimal disruption to a major thoroughfare in the Dominican Republic. Two critical project milestones casting four reinforced concrete counterweights (4,000 cubic meters) and building a barge bridge within 4 months. Analyzed the situation and established a plan of action that included working in a 7-day schedule and ramping up labor and sub contractor hiring. Completed a critical step in a multi-million dollar project ahead of schedule. Collaborated with a world-renowned civil engineering firm to build a 40 million gallon liquid natural gas storage tank, only one of seven in the world. Restructured main subcontractors, concrete and earthworks, so that they were able to supply the required services and materials at the best price and in the negotiated time frames.
