Managed the construction and development department for a fast growing restaurant chain, with an aggressive growth profile. I constructed and opened of over twelve restaurants in four states of which three were successfully completed on a “fast-track “design and build†basis. I completed approximately $70 million of construction which included free standing, tenant improvement/remodeled restaurant units and the completion of a technically challenging production brewery and bottling plant. My direct responsibilities included direction of the various design team and construction teams and the establishment and maintenance of budgets. I also managed the purchasing and co-ordination of the owner’s furnishings, fixtures, and equipment, which included the kitchen and bar equipment, brewery equipment, and signage. My other duties included interaction with the various beverage and alcohol agencies, comprehensive design reviews as well as the management of the approval process to comply with local and national codes and practices, and included the obtainment of approvals from the relevant boards and officials to allow occupation and opening.
