There are 7 locations for this 25 year old company and I worked at the headquarters, located in Indio, California. I was responsible for acquiring sales and option contracts from national tract home builders such as; Lennar Homes, Ryland Homes, Pulte, Toll Bros., Del Webb, and many other renowned local and national builders in the country.
10-99 / 6-2006 - Tract Division - Sales Manager and Options Coordinator
Initially I was hired as a sales person in the design showroom so I could become more knowledgeable of products, customers and the computer estimating system. After six months I was promoted to Options Coordinator for the Tract Division. I generated $5,000,000.00 in sales, annually, by offering up-graded building products to interior designers and design centers. By my efforts of continually educating them on new products and vendors, I boosted their sales tremendously while still meeting their building criteria. I was able to hire two assistants.
I was then promoted to Tract Division Sales Manager, along with my duty of Options Coordinator. Through planning, estimating, budgeting, scheduling and launching projects from start to finish, I was responsible for generating signed contracts of $42,000,000.00, annually. I also assisted in launching three new areas of the company that related to closet designs, media centers and kitchen cabinet sales. With this position I met builders through networking functions, formal business meetings and phone contact. I assisted builders and designers in choosing materials that would be specified on their bid lists. I submitted all formal bids and presentations to builders. Through the cooperated efforts of my assistants we accomplished great profits for this company and I left with high acclaims from all the division managers and Mr. Guy Evans himself.
