Project Manager-North High School/ECE
Project manager for the renovation of the 1911 section of North High School. This project has a program value of $34 million and is scheduled for completion in 2011. Also serving as Project Manager for the ECE program. Duties include evaluating ECE needs district-wide and recommending school sites for ECE expansion. ECE expansion includes remodeling of existing schools, the installation of modulars and the construction of ECE Centers. Other duties include re-roof projects at 11 schools. Funding is provided through the 2008 Bond program ($454 million). Duties include permitting, management/coordination of architectural firms, general contractors, modular providers and DPS maintenance, DPS QA/QC, technology & security Departments. Responsible for the financial management of all assigned projects

In my last role, I was working as the Engineering Manager. There were 6 Engineers in my department from the civil, electrical and mechanical disciplines. We provide engineering support for base operations and construction projects at Rocky Mountain Arsenal. The duties of this department include design drawings, project scopes, cost estimates, project management, and as-builds.
Previously assigned as the Operations Manager and the Quality Control Manager. Duties included project controls, work scheduling, maintenance of all PC’s and the computer network, quality control plans and safe plans of action. Worked closely with the army to ensure that all RMA needs are satisfied.
The mission at RMA is to convert a superfund site into a wildlife refuge. Cleanup activities commenced in 1998 with a ten-year implementation window.

Construction/Quality Control Manager/Site Manager
Responsible for Oversight Management of several construction projects at DIA. Projects included runways, aprons, concourses, etc. At the height of construction, Aguirre retained 80 personnel that provided Inspection, concrete, soil and asphalt testing, budget and cost and scheduling analysis. Served as QA/QC Manager for the West Cargo Road.
As Senior Project Manager, I was in charge of all construction for the company. ET LaFore did $20 million of construction per year between the Colorado Springs and Denver Offices. I was responsible for hiring of all project personnel including project managers/superintendents, estimators and schedulers. Some of the Projects that were completed during my tenure included the remodel of the Fitzsimmons Army Medical Hospital, motor pool and laboratory at Rocky Mountain Arsenal, Terminal Radar Air Control Facility and an airport wide underground communications system at DIA working for the FAA. We also had a unit price contract to do work at Peterson Air force base and Falcon air force base (SABRE).
Project Manager on a $16 million high-rise office building located in Englewood Co. next to the Scanticon. 120,000 sq ft of tenant finish was put in place concurrently with the shell in 14 months. Responsibilities included schedules, budgets, subcontractor selection, payment applications, design coordination and all hiring.
Assigned as Office Manager for the Colorado Springs office to support work at Fort Carson, Peterson Air Force base, Falcon Air Force base the Air Force Academy. Some of the projects completed included a helicopter flight simulator at Fort Carson and a fire station at the Air Force Academy.
Served as Project Superintendent on the Denver Permit Center located across from city hall ($10 million). The project involved converting the old Denver law library into office space for city employees. The scope of work included the construction of an interior atrium and extending the skin on the 1st level to match the three upper levels.

In charge of all new construction, remodel and maintenance projects at six different buildings located in the Boulder area. Responsibilities included design coordination, bidding, estimating, scheduling, defining and implementing maintenance programs for mechanical equipment, and hiring of craft. Projects included remodeling of a laboratory, construction of a Doppler research unit and several office space renovations

Resident Engineer for airport projects located at Kansas City International Airport (KCI). Responsibilities included construction inspections, concrete, asphalt and soils testing, payment application reviews, payroll record reviews, submittal and schedule reviews. Some of the projects include construction of a taxiway, a general aviation apron and structural overlay of two other taxiways.
Project Manager for a $13 million, 181-room luxury Ramada hotel located north of Denver, Co. This facility included a 20,000 sq ft conference center, a kitchen facility capable of serving 500 at a seating, retail shops and a piano bar/lounge. We acted as General contractor/Developer for this project. Directed Architect on owner requirements for the facility. Responsibilities included preparing financial documents to attain construction funds, bidding, budgets, schedules, submittals and closeout.
I also served as project manager/superintendent for two story wood frame office buildings in the Sheridan Office Park.

Los Angeles: Worked on the Ventura county Government Center as an office engineer ($50 million), a 19 story office building as ca field superintendent ($25 million). Also served as cost engineer for construction projects in the Los Angeles region and developed the 5 year business plan.
Denver: Worked on a 33-story high-rise office building from preconstruction to close out as an Assistant Project Manager. Responsibilities included submittals, change orders, permits, scope packages and constructability reviews ($60 million).
