Role: Design QA/QC Manager
Duties: Provided leadership to the project team and was accountable for managing the overall execution of the Contract. I was responsible for accurately informing the Director of Design Operations of a project’s overall status, with particular regard to cost, schedule, quality, safety and client relationship. I also was responsible for coordination with the relevant Discipline Director, to execute a master agreement with each consultant. Foremost duty to develop and maintain continuous positive relationships with the Client and their representatives.
Project QA /QC Manager-
I had responsibility for the development and execution of the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plan for the project. He was responsible for applying the Corporate Quality Manual into the project as applicable. Also to assure all discipline design work (design output) relates to the design input by documentation in sufficient detail to permit design verification. I was responsibile to define, and/or provide interpretation for quality related issues required to execute the Contact but that are not covered, or conflict with the Corporate Quality Manual. I provided clear communication to insure that the quality procedures and standards for the project are defined, understood, and properly adhered to by the project team. Represents the overall quality in communications with the client including general progress and needs, reporting direct to the President.

Provide multi-discipline design intent specifications and layouts, design development coordination and construction schedule/cost estimating for regional service center facilities, in Dallas, Texas and Lincoln, Nebraska. Architectural design lead for resolving customer flow issues in District and Area offices through creative architectural way finding and transaction solutions in Miami, Florida and St. Louis, MO.

Facility Type: Nanotechnology- Advanced Measurement Laboratory
Location: Gaithersburg, Maryland
Role: On-Site Architect
Duties: Senior Architectural Consultant providing on-site project management during the programming phase for Fit up, Relocation and Communications. Devise an expert technical implementation plan that resolved issues concerning Lab User Deployment, existing Lab Relocation, Equipment Relocation and Hook Up, New Furniture design and install, Lab Utilities Fit Up, Voice/Data wiring. To address these issues a detailed scope of work was written by phase to correspond to a Responsibilities / Deliverables Matrix, which correlated to a multi-phase master schedule and calendar.
General Scope: 47,480 square meters, or 511,070 square feet total. Cost: $235.2 million. 2 single-floor metrology laboratory sections completely below grade with 151 lab modules and 2 single-floor instrument laboratory sections above ground with 187 lab modules. Labs have a baseline temperature control to within ±0.25 degree Celsius and temperature control to within ±0.1 or ±0.01 degree Celsius for 48 precision temperature control laboratories in metrology sections. Included several types of vibration isolation foundations in metrology laboratory sections, for velocity amplitude of 3 micrometers per second or less. In special metrology laboratories, hold humidity control is to within 1 percent and 5 percent in the rest of the facility. Building-wide conditioned power supply system that will meet IEEE Std. 1100-1992 for critical electronic loads. Ceiling heights in laboratory modules adaptable to 7 meters (22 feet). Natural day lighting, energy conservation, and recycling incorporated into the AML’s design and planned operation. The AML facility includes an above ground Class 100 clean room wing, 80,000 square feet (3.5 or fewer particles per liter), upgradeable to Class 10.

Facility Type: sub micron semiconductor manufacturing
Location: Tainan, Taiwan
Role: On-Site Architect
Duties: Business traveler to Taiwan. Project technology coordinator and design team leader. Senior architectural consultant providing guidance for the client and led a remote, international engineering design team through programming and conceptual design phase, as the project manager. Ensured all documentation, drawings and specifications were complete, coordinated and met project scope. Implemented "H" occupancy designs, based on 2000 International Building Code. Administered the site planning and architectural building systems layout and design with in-country associate architectural firm and led process critical design coordination with remote lead office.
General Scope: Greenfield design of semiconductor manufacturing facility. Main fabrication building included 180,000 S.F. ballroom, Class 1000, mini-environment cleanroom, utilizing over-sized and multi-level automation systems. The facility was designed for DRAM products on 300-mm wafers, utilizing copper application technologies. Phase 1 total building space was 2.3M S.F.

Duties: Resolve all issues with regards to design, scope and schedule. Coordinate design-build effort with contractor; associate engineering firm, associate landscape architect and remote third party interior design Company. Provided quality control for all design disciplines. Ensured all documentation, drawings and specifications were complete, coordinated and met project scope. Provided main liaison services for all City of Palo Alto agencies. Resolving issues regarding city planning, public works, and site permits, building permits and building codes.
General Scope: 140,000 S.F. ($21M), Greenfield corporate office building, with below grade parking garage adjacent to an environmentally protected site (Coyote Hill open space). The Design and Construction was committed not only to the mitigation of physical impacts from development against the Coyote Hill open space, but to do so by the creation of an exemplary project, which delivered sustainable ideologies inherent in the project's design, construction and lifecycle.

Main project liaison for The City of Santa Clara, California, resolving issues regarding city planning, building permits and building codes.
General Scope: 400,000 S.F. ($23M) Master Space Plan, Tenant Improvements to Santa Clara campus. Projects include major infrastructure upgrades to HVAC (cooling tower addition), UPS and Telecom. A 10,000 S.F. fully automated one-touch assembly/training rooms with video/satellite links, integrated with the Temecula facility. Designs included major cafeteria expansions. Also, major signature lobby remodel. 30,000 S.F., functional space layout for research and development lab, 12,000 S.F. included complete utilities reconfiguration to overhead drops. Added 2,000 S.F. of Final Test to existing class 10,000 cleanroom. Life Safety/Security upgrades, which included CCTV, digital fire alarm station, automated elevator recall, and card readers. Full ADA/T24 upgrade, to all bathrooms, building entrances, and required exits and public spaces. Build-out and remodel of open office floor plates to include break rooms, conference rooms, teaming space, coffee bars and private offices. Signature executive suite with fully automated one-touch boardroom, art gallery, and library and reception/waiting area.
