Hired initially as the Plant Engineer of a soon-to-be-built 250,000 square foot high tech manufacturing facility/office facility in the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, the responsibilities included all equipment set up and employee relocation. The position quickly grew to include managing the facilities department which coordinated all building operations, critical systems & equipment, property management, space planning and staff and equipment relocations. From 1980 to 1987 the positions continued to grow in responsibility, as noted above, followed by the appointment of Sr. Manager of Real Estate/Facilities – Pacific Region.
 Managed regional operations department supporting 4,000 employees in 33 facilities.
