Good Morning,
I would like an opportunity to interview for the Director of Facilities Position. My position was eliminated at my previous employer. I am interested in the position offered for new challenges and to expand my professional skills. I enjoy overseeing operations of a facility and doing what I can do ensure they run as smooth as possible. I am currently studying for certification in writing construction specifications to make myself a more knowledgeable building specialist.
In my career, I work in the Bidding, and Construction Administration phase of a project as well as Design and Construction Documents preparing drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
The other aspects of my work are in Building Code research and evaluations, reviewing consultant’s drawings, answering contractor’s Requests for Information, and field visits to observe and document construction progress.
At my previous employer, our standard low voltage systems and had been set up by our own staff and coordination with contractors was always difficult. I created color coded Low Voltage Plans for our staff to easily review and remove confusion for the contractors. I had also created color coded Marketing Plans for our marketing staff to show and describe our Resident Units to potential clients and color coded egress plans and Fire Protection Systems Plans for the local fire department’s use when performing inspections and responding to an alarm.
I also have experience with retaining Civil Engineering firms and consulting engineers, when dealing with real estate and site issues.
As a Registered Architect, I maintain a professional conduct with other Architects, Engineers, and Contractors and always keep the safety of the public in mind.
