Representative Major Project Experience: David was the lead design architect on these projects
Inscol Medispa, Chandigarh, India - will feature opulent bathrooms with freestanding soaking tubs and spa showers, custom furnishings and personalized exercise bars. A refreshment bar and restaurant will also be included, and 55 permanent private cabanas will have wonder Himalayan Mountain views. The hotel’s 8,400 SF Grove Spa will include steam rooms, sauna, and a fitness center. A wellness center will provide up to date medical advise and recommendations.
Abernathy Park, Atlanta- this design incorporated four major components into a 10-acre site centered around a major center oval park and lake. These components consisted of a 400 room hotel, two 250,00 sf office building, 2300 car parking deck, and a 150 unit residential tower.
Dekalb Addiction Clinic, Decatur Ga. – We developed this building design around the patient and how the they would be treated. The patients experience and success depended on the best attitude and comfort felt by the individual. The clear wide corridors opening to the outside allowed the staff and patients natural light and views. The entry is a place to “hang out†on the front porch while the medicine reactions were observed.
Emory Arms Apartments- this was a replacement for an existing 1950 vintage apartments. The exclusive location in the heart of an Atlanta neighborhood added to the wonderful outcome for this project. 220 units and 400 parking space 2 level deck under the building was a tight fit due to the added set back restrictions and the set back from an existing stream. We maintained the existing trees and improved the existing tennis courts. The over age 50 market has been improved by this project.
Cisco Bangalore Campus Expansion - a world-based development team from the US, UK and India worked with the Cisco world wide team for master planning studies for a 37-acre campus incorporating 3.7 million square feet of IT internet system development campus. Key to the success of this project was developing three different options highlighting building configurations, public areas, parking and green spaces/water features in order to provide a pleasant pedestrian experience over a large expanse of land.
James River Mixed-Use Development, Richmond VA- this design incorporated four major components into a 12-acre site centered around a major center oval park. The views were to be spectacular from the steep banks of the James river. These components consisted of a 200 room hotel, one 500,000 sf office building, one 250,000 sf office building, 2500 car parking deck, and a 140 unit residential tower.
Tenth & Peachtree Street Mixed-Use Development, Atlanta – this was a large multi level project sited on one block in midtown Atlanta. We incorporated 230k Retail, 350 units and residential, 33 townhomes, and 1635 parking spaces in the deck.
Verizon Call Centers – this series of five call centers ranging in size from 75,000 square feet to 140,000 square feet were designed based around the Verizon proprietary interior design standards. Each building was custom fit to each site and designed around tilt up construction cost savings. All but two of the buildings have been built. The Columbus SC building will be LEED platinum and the largest sustainably focused call center in the Southeast.
Airtel Corporate Headquarters, Gurgaon India – this building office has been designed for the largest wireless communication company in India. One six-story building of 600,000 SF, and all are planned to be LEED Gold certified. Our design team was hired to design and fit out the interior space. We developed an overall furniture and partition layout system that will serve them into the future by providing flexibility and growth options.
Sundance Center- This mixed-use project started as an old abandoned car dealership designed by a famous architect in the 50’s. We envisioned a re-use; however, the original building was not constructed well and had been altered beyond recognition. Our program consisted of street level retail, multi-level office above, an art cinema above and parking behind as well as under the retail. The neighborhoods surrounding this project had another idea. As it turns out, the project evolved into a wonderful combination of street level retail with residential above and parking behind. The neighborhood agreed, zoning changes were approved and the project moved to the next phase. This rezoning/ redesign took 18 months to complete. The project is built and sussessful today.
