Construction Management in Commercial or Hospitality Construction
November 22, 2008
Human Resources Manager
I am a construction professional with over 30 years direct field experience in a broad range of construction projects throughout Florida. My construction experience has included new construction and renovation projects for hotels, condominiums, restaurants, assisted living care facilities, apartment complexes, high density multifamily communities, custom high end residential and coastal impact zone construction. In addition to all types of wood and metal frame construction experience, I also have construction experience in site clearing, horizontal utilities, roadways, parking lots, heavy concrete, steel, concrete block, and asbestos abatement. I currently hold a Florida State Building Contractor’s License. I have previously held positions as a Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, Site Manager, Project Superintendent and Estimator. These projects costs have varied in cost from $200k to over $14 million. Most of the projects were turn-key starting with site demolition and clearing, and ending with final punch list completion and transfer to the owners. Throughout all of the construction process I have gained immense experience with setting up budgets, construction scheduling, subcontractor construction management, monthly draw requests, bank inspections, architectural progress inspections, and requisite county and engineers inspections in addition to all associated owners inspections. I am very personable and quite capable to handle any of the tasks relative to the successful completion of any construction project.
My last employer ceased operations the first of May 2008 and I am currently looking for a management position within the Northeast Florida region, preferred. However, I would also consider a position that requires travel within the state of Florida, the Southeast US or the Caribbean, as long as I am able to remain based in my Neptune Beach home and maintain my Florida state residency. You will find my salary requirements flexible and within the standard ranges for a professional with my talents. I am available for an interview at any time, and will travel out of Jacksonville if required. I have attached my resume for your review.
If you have any questions or need any additional information, please contact me as soon as possible. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Respectfully,
James V. Edmiston
