Having facilitated many projects as either a Project Manager or an Owners Representative I have been afforded the unique opportunity to observe the balance required between the production and investment sides of a project in order to be viewed successful by both. Success criteria as defined by the builder or owner can be diametrically opposed from the start and position the project for failure. With over one billion dollars of management experience encompassing large commercial and industrial projects I have developed the ability to define scope, align major stakeholders while minimizing the owners exposure. By proactively identifying project challenges, collaborating with stakeholders and timely resolution of the problems presented in the construction process I strive to bring unification to the delivery process. I manage complex projects by balancing the three components of the project which are scope, schedule and budget. By keeping the sides of the project triangle in equilibrium, projects are delivered to meet the established project criteria. I take pride in my team building abilities by encouraging ownership to resolve “opportunities†while having fun. I am currently acting as an owner’s representative and have encouraged my employer to put our project, a luxury boutique hotel, on hold pending a financial commitment from the lending institution. Given economic indicators and the market we are serving I do not believe it will occur soon.
