Vice President, 2004 – Present
Reporting to the President/Owner, with shared responsibility for the overall operational management of firm, including: business plans, growth strategies, company policies, development and analysis.
• Cultivate new business development and manage current client relationships
• Oversee Estimating Department including final sign off of proposals valued up to $6M
• Negotiate prime client contracts
• Manage conflict resolution for disputes with sub-contractors, vendors and clients
• Responsible for staff hiring, termination, employee reviews and general housekeeping
• Assist in creation and implementation of marketing plans targeting new customers
Developed a state-of-the-art IT policy for current and future operations, implementing a thin client sever computer system utilizing CITRIX servers which centralizes the firm’s field-generated project data, enabling single source back up of all data and a shared file structure and control over access to computer functionality by project managers – reducing computer down time and saving approximately 30% a year in IT costs.

Responsible for overseeing multiple projects and project managers, setting deadlines and overseeing/interacting with them on a daily basis to ensure goals were achieved.
• Represented firm at project meetings, set long range project schedule and goals
• Performed budgetary analysis of on-going project, authored cash flow projections and budgetary reports for owners/clients
• Authored and negotiated large sub-contracts
• Responsible for all project change orders.
• Interaction with municipalities regarding permits, inspections and certificates of occupancy. Developed relationships with inspectors to insure favorable results.
Estimator, 1995 – 2001
• Interpreted construction plans and specifications
• Performed quantity take-offs of all materials
• Requested timely bid documentation for sub-contractors and obtaining bids from sub-contractors
• Created bid scope documents to ensure sub-contractors conformity with plans and specifications
• Developed bid packages for submission to architect or owner and bid conditions document outlining standard clarifications that are relevant to all bids
• Created project specific bid qualification document for inclusion with bid package and develop bid summary sheet including project items down by CSI code and perform calculations to determine bid value. This document served as the basis for the project budgets developed for use during the buy-out of the job.
• Developed a natural sense of “seat of the pants†estimating based upon years of quantity take-off analysis and sub bid analysis.
