EXPERIENCE
IDEAL CONTRACTING, Detroit, Michigan
Vice President & General Manager, 2001 – 2010
Developed, implemented and managed a business plan that took the company from $20 million in annual revenues to $160 million in annual revenues in less than 7 years, becoming one of the top ten General Contractors in Michigan. Developed, implemented, and managed a completely new operating system from estimating, to procedures for running a project, to project close out. I developed a self-perform group of union trades that included carpenters, laborers, ironworkers and equipment operators. There were as many as 120 tradesmen working on projects and a safety program that won many awards. The company did over $500 Million in 7-years in Design-Build 3-D BIM Collaborative Approach and hard dollar bidding. I always maintained an active role in the bidding process as well as project management. I held weekly staff meetings with Estimators, Project Engineers, and Project Managers to make sure that we were meeting the customer’s goals as well as the company’s goals.
