o Designed and launched the OCIP (Owner Controlled Insurance Program) providing General Liability and Workers’ Compensation insurance to all on-site vendors for $600M construction of 10 new Hub Distribution Centers. Generated positive cash flow, ensured appropriate coverage, provided a single source of recovery for claims, and created a higher standard of job site safety.
o Gained 99% participation in the Independent Contractor Insurance Programenabling contractors to meet lease requirements for Occupational Accident, Workers Compensation, Physical Damage, and Non-trucking Liability insurance coverage. Economies of scale drove competitive pricing and provided contractors with a “best in class†broker and insurance carrier relationship.
• Built strong network of brokers and vendors by managing the vendor selection process and developing long-term business partnerships to optimize company’s buying power.
