PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Originated an estimating and project management system to capture and track information for the Oklahoma Installation Company’s (OIC’s) President and Owners
• Created the interface between OIC’s estimating, project management & new accounting software systems to more efficiently manage the $23MM store fixture installation company
• Established the overall program for the purchasing, testing, and well-site supervision for turnkey, deep well drilling for Nicor Drilling Company, the 4th largest US drilling company.
• Managed $10K to $15MM residential and commercial construction & renovation projects
GENERAL & OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
• Founded Frontier Fixture Installations (FFI). Developed business plan, secured investor and managed all startup functions – administration, sales / marketing, accounting, HR, estimating & project management
• Established FFI as a nationwide company with accounts serving retail, banking, restaurants & hotels with installation of graphics, architectural millwork, casework, store fixtures, and storage solutions
• Established operations efficiencies as OIC sales grew from $13.5MM to $23MM in 5 years. Even though staff increased from 1 to 6 Project Managers overhead decreased from 22% to 13%
• Managed Vintage Petroleum’s administration. Purchased capital goods, administered Operating Agreements, managed oil properties inventory and justified all property expenditures to owners
SALES & SALES MANAGEMENT
• Built FFI from $0 to $1MM in sales in 2.5 years. Within 6 years, bought out investor
• Expanded customer base from exclusive contract with Dillards. Secured 3-year, $6MM rollout with Federated Department Stores from initial lead, through close of sale and contract negotiations, to project completion
• Created management systems for Federated and OIC that were so successful they earned an additional 1/3 of that retailer’s own-brand rollout business when another of Federated’s providers failed to produce
• Sold oil well equipment and, after completing US Steel’s 18-month engineering training in 6 months, served as Technical Sales Engineer providing technical support to Oilwell Supply sales representatives
