SR. DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES, DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION
Global responsibility for all functions related to space planning, site design, development, and construction for MDS Pharma Services. Manage operating budget greater than $50M and capital budget of $35M. Directly report to CFO and manage a global staff of 32. Responsible for approximately 1.5 million square feet of clinic, lab and office space. Responsible for the broad policy and management oversight of the facilities organization including facilities planning, financial administration, human resource management, corporate security and basic operations such as the systematic inspection, maintenance and repairs to facilities equipment, utilities and grounds.
SIGNIFICANT CAPITAL PROJECTS & INITIATIVES:
• 300 Bed Clinic - Phoenix $29M Design Build of Clinic including dormitory, day rooms, kitchen, pharmacy, admissions, and administrative areas.
• Vivarium Upgrade - Taiwan $18M Programming, design and construction for the renovation of a 60,000 sf facility to house in-vivo and in-vitro laboratories in a GLP environment.
• Work Request System - Developed of a company wide web-based facility work request system.
• Asset Inventory Initiated an inventory for all facility assets to track maintenance and life cycle costs.
• LEED Initiatives - Obtained LEED EB certification to US Green Building Council standards.
• Capital Projects - $12M in capital projects (biochemistry labs, clinics and administrative offices) completed in Singapore, Beijing, Seattle and Montreal.
