Work History:
March 1997
To Present
Cushco Inc. Shreveport, LA
President, Owner
Cushco was founded to fulfill a lifelong dream, owning my own construction company. My responsibilities at Cushco included all the duties associated with the day today operations of a small General Contractor. The commercial side of Cushco averaged two to three jobs per year in the $45,000 to $175,000 range, mostly tenant build out, with some freestanding structures. The company assisted clients with site selection, layout, drafting, permitting, and all other aspects of a turnkey job. The residential side of Cushco designed, financed, constructed, and marketed an average of six homes per year in the $200,000 to $275,000 range with several architectural custom builds in excess of $750,000.

Shreve Land Co. Shreveport, LA
Project Manager
Shreve Land Co. is a midsize General Contractor specializing in hotel, motel, multi-family and other light to medium construction. After earning my degree in Construction Management, Shreve Land hired me as a Quality Control Manager and by 1990 had promoted me to Job Superintendent. In the next five years I was responsible for the completion or four construction projects as Job Superintendent, answering to a Project Manager. Promoted to Project Manager in 1995, I completed four projects in that capacity - answering to the Vice President of Operations - until the formation of Cushco in March of 1997. My last project at Shreve Land was a joint venture with Brice Building Co. out of Birmingham AL. Brice Building Co. subsequently purchased Shreve Land Co. This change in ownership was a catalyst for my decision to form Cushco. All of my projects at Shreve Land were in the $1,500,000 to $10,000,000 range with locations in Cincinnati OH, Florence KY, Charlotte NC, Dallas TX, and North and South Louisiana. All projects came in on time, under budget and to the customers’ absolute satisfaction.
