I was the Senior Consultant responsible for the development of new consultants and the worldwide marketing and implementation of DuPont’s safety system. I worked in a wide segment of industries from aerospace, manufacturing, aviation, and others all over the world. I implemented this system at over 100 sites.

I managed a plant of over 300 people producing textile yarn. The budget was $35 million. I started a Preventive Maintenance Program, Quality Assurance Process, Developed a Work Cell and initiated Safety and Housekeeping Standards. I developed a process for the development of cross training all employees. We ran 15% below forecast. My style helped these managers grow and develop.

I managed the world-wide rollout of a computer system to help manage the Training and Development of employees. I traveled extensively to 6 foreign countries demonstrating, installing and providing instruction to these 11 facilities. I managed a $5 million budget and coordinated the activities of the contractor in the development and installation of this system. A cost savings of $12 million was realized in the 11 worldwide regions.

I developed a customer base for various Development programs. I developed a Needs Analysis for each customer and provided the necessary development activities to improve the skills of managers and hourly roll employees. Many functional teams were created and a cost reduction of $1 million per year was met while off-setting the operating cost. I managed the construction and maintenance of a $750 million facility for the production of textured polyester yarn from basic chemicals. I hired a staff of 6 supervisors, 50 mechanics, 2 specialists and 2 engineers. We completed construction and 3 start-up phases under budget and ahead of schedule.
