VOGTLE NUCLEAR PROJECT, WAYNESBORO GA (JUNE 2009-PRESENT)
The Nuclear Division of its Power Group and Westinghouse Electric Company, its AP1000 Consortium partner, received full notice to proceed from Southern Nuclear, a subsidiary of Southern Company, on its engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for two Westinghouse AP1000â„¢ nuclear power units and related facilities.
EH&S Specialist II- Medic- Reporting directly to Site EH&S Manager to manage safety and health matters relevant to the Accident Injury Free (Target Zero) commitments.
Job Duties Include:
• Upholding site EH&S Policies and procedures.
• Setting up First aid Office and ordering supplies.
• Responsible for NEO and First Aid/CPR/AED Training.
• Locating and identifying Medical Clinic for pre-employment, and Post accident/injury Drug and Alcohol screening.
• Responsible for project Medical oversight and treatment.
• Attends Supervisors JSA meetings and toolbox talks before the start of work. Ensures all hazards have been identified and measures are put in place to mitigate the risks
• Monitor work in progress to help the workforce to identify violations of safe working practices.
• Coach the workforce about safe work practices including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
• Perform gas tests for confined spaces as required by the permit to work procedure (PTW).
• To oversee the workforce training and to ensure that training complies with the Site Specific Safety Plan, Shaw EHS Manual, and Applicable Client and OSHA requirements.
• Conduct investigation of Incidents and Near-Misses.
• Oversee the Environmental activities and correct any non-conformances and communicate with the EHS manager about all situations when performance is unacceptable.

The Nuclear Division of its Power Group and Westinghouse Electric Company, its AP1000 consortium partner, have been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by Progress Energy Florida Inc., a subsidiary of Progress Energy (NYSE: PGN) for two Westinghouse AP1000â„¢ nuclear units the utility plans to build at an undeveloped site in Levy County, Fla. The AP1000 units each have an electric generating capacity of 1,100 megawatts.

 Manage and Supervise Field Safety Personal
 Providing site specific training to Field Safety Personal
 Attends Supervisors JSA meetings and toolbox talks before the start of work. Ensures all hazards have been identified and measures are put in place to mitigate the risks
 Monitor work in progress to help the workforce to identify violations of safe working practices.
 Coach the workforce about safe work practices including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
 Trains employees in the DuPont Safety Training Observation Program (STOP) in order to promote the safety culture.
 To oversee site security and security issues that arise and report to the EH&S Manager.
 Write reports, and analyze STOP cards in order to assist Supervisors to promote a safe working environment, and to take corrective action where needed.
 Perform gas tests for confined spaces as required by the permit to work procedure (PTW).
 To oversee the workforce training and to ensure that training complies with the Site Specific Safety Plan, Shaw EHS Manual, and Applicable Client and OSHA requirements.
 Conduct investigation of Incidents and Near-Misses.
 Oversee the Environmental activities and correct any non-conformances and communicate with the EHS manager about all situations when performance is unacceptable.
 Assist with Oil Spill Clean-up measures as required.

 Liaise with Client, Company and Contractor security services.
 Complete daily, weekly, monthly assurance reports and maintain Company records pertaining to EHS and confidential information.
North Carolina EMT Paramedic - Reported directly to County Medical Director, and being responsible for all levels of patient care. Supervise EMTs of all certification levels.
