I am searching out a career in or around the architecture and construction industry. I am a licensed architect and eager to design, but I am also very interested in the construction and developer aspects of the field.

OBJECTIVE
I desire to use my background and experience to explore new areas as well as develop my current skills in a job that I enjoy. I am seeking out an opportunity to put my experience in design and project development to good use.
WORK EXPERIENCE
February 2008 to October 2008 Peacock & Lewis Architects
Registered Architect, Project Manager
ï® In my short time with this firm I was involved in various residential projects ranging from a 10,000 square foot private residence to prototype neighborhoods in the Bahamas. My time with this firm was cut short due to a downturn in the economy.
July, 2004 to February 2008 Merrill, Pastor, & Colgan Architects
Intern Architect, Draftsman, Project Manager
ï® With this firm I have been exposed to all levels of design. I started drawings from scratch and followed projects through completion of construction. I prepared drawings for entire buildings and performed weekly site visits on several projects through all phases of construction. This involved meeting with contractors and sub-contractors and corresponding as necessary with clients.
June, 2003 to June, 2004 CDM
Intern Architect, Draftsman
ï® This was my introduction into working in an Architecture office. I learned a lot about drafting programs as well as general building strategies and shop drawing processing. I worked directly with the other 2 architects in the office to prepare drawings for several buildings.

PROJECT LIST
Arnold Residence- Construction management. This is a high-end residence that I assumed responsibility for at the commencement of construction and followed it through the certificate of occupancy with weekly meeting on site and almost daily contact with the client. Construction time: 14 months.
Baine Residence- Construction management. This is high-end residence that I assumed responsibility for during bidding and followed it through the certificate of occupancy with weekly site visits with the contractor and usual correspondence with the clients. Construction time: 12 months.
Loblolly Yacht Club- Design Development. This was technically a remodel, but the only salvaged aspects of this building were to be the footprint and several pilings. I prepared all drawings and worked with the clients’ architectural committee as well as a contractor to approximate total construction costs. After several meetings with members of the club, the project was ultimately abandoned.
Collett Residence-Design Development and Construction Management. This is a high end residence that I worked on from the start. I prepared schematic design drawings, design development drawings, construction documents, took this through bidding, and construction. Construction time: 14 months.
Kimley-Horn Office Campus- This is a 100,000+ square feet office campus in Vero Beach. Our office was involved with the client, contractors, and an associate firm (that has in house engineers and a much larger staff). Our office took the project through design development and our associate firm completed the construction documents.
Baillie Residence- Design Development and Construction Management. This is another high-end residence with which I was involved. Again, I prepared all phases of drawings, saw it through bidding, and supervised the first four months of construction.
Piaget Residence- Design development through Construction documents. This was a high end residence in the Bear’s Club in Jupiter, FL that I was involved with at Peacock & Lewis. I worked with the builder to develop a set of drawings for this 10,000 square feet residence that met the client’s wishes.
Melanie Beach Homes and Port Royal Villas- Design Development and Construction Documents. These two projects were for a development on the Royal Island in the Bahamas. Each was a neighborhood within the island that would have a series of houses from which to choose. We developed 4 houses for the Port Royal Villas and 8 houses for the Melanie Beach Homes. Clients had their choice of house along, each with several options. I worked with colleagues to develop a set of construction documents for each house.
