Work Experience
Spanish Peaks Club September 2006 – present
Big Sky, Montana
As the Executive Project Manager for The Spanish Peaks Club, a 3,500 acre private resort and residential community, I am responsible for implementing the development and overall construction management for several structures on the site including the clubhouse on the resort’s Tom Weiskopf golf course, its adjacent privately owned, high-end residences as well as $80 million worth of town homes overlooking the development’s main lodge. As such, I have direct experience with the Club’s restoration of wetlands while conceptualizing and creating fisheries in this highly sensitive alpine environment. Through precise coordination with an international firm specializing in architectural and environmental design, I have ensured appropriate landscape and tie-in design to the existing alpine environment.
Summit Companies April 2004 – August 2006
Lakewood, Colorado
As the Senior Project Manager and Owners’ Representative, I was responsible for the overall supervision and strategic implementation of this development firm’s projects throughout the metro Denver area. Experience included multi-family high rise structures with shared commercial space,
retirement communities and prestigious custom-build residences. As a result, I have acquired vast experience in land acquisition, re-zoning, civil engineering improvements, entitlement, bid specification writing, permitting, contractor bidding and selection, punch lists, retail lease agreements and the strategic development of marketing and sales for residential and vendor retail space.
United Technologies November 1997 – March 2004
San Francisco, California
As a key liaison between building management and construction teams, I was called upon to identify critical construction issues and develop subsequent and appropriate modernization plans for United Technologies’ construction teams throughout the Bay area. As such, my teams modernized entire buildings to current code and efficiency standards while satisfying client and corporate budget constraints. Additional experience includes the development, design and implementation of modern electrical systems, ventilation, life safety systems and complex security systems for Class-A commercial space in San Francisco’s Financial District.
Hensel Phelps Construction Company June 1996 – October 1997
San Francisco, California
As a project manager, I was responsible for the construction, trade supervision and building layout for a chemistry building on the University of California / Berkeley campus, office space in San Francisco’s financial district and the renovation of the Legion of Honor Art Museum in San Francisco’s Presidio. Due to the sensitive construction and labor related nature of each project, I was responsible for balancing the political relationship between city and state officials while ensuring Hensel Phelps’ labor union requirements, progress and overall presence on these work sites.
