Vice President: Sales, marketing, estimating, design and installation for a low voltage electronics contractor. Projects included custom installations for residential, offices and restaurants consisting of: dedicated home theater and media centers, whole house audio / video systems, commercial audio systems, telephone systems, closed circuit television systems, security and fire alarm systems. Account Executive: Personally responsible for annual sales of $500,000. Responsibilities included client interviews and development of a customized solution to fit the customers’ individual requirements.

Interior Products Sales: Responsible for the sales of the commercial interior construction products. Specific duties included quantity take off, estimating and quoting upcoming projects, negotiating prices and ordering materials from vendors and working with design professionals to specify the products I represented.
1993 - 1995 Ancon Construction Company, Inc., Goshen, IN
Project Manager / Estimator: Estimated and managed commercial and industrial construction projects ranging from $30,000 - $900,000. Responsibilities included producing and developing sales leads, producing preliminary design to fulfill the needs of the prospective client, advertising the project for Subcontract proposals and estimating all concrete, carpentry and Butler Metal Buildings. Upon the sale of a project I was responsible for buying out the project, writing subcontracts and purchase orders and performing administrative project management functions. Additional responsibilities included administration of the Butler Advantage estimating system software, writing estimating files on Lotus 123.

Project Manager: Manager of the Indianapolis field office for the Construction Quality Management Contract on a $10,000,000 Federal Courthouse Historical Restoration and Court Expansion project. Responsibilities included supervision of the Assistant Project Manger and the Administrative Assistant for this project as well as writing Contract Change Proposal Requests, performing Government Estimates for Change Proposals, review and recommendation for approval of the General Contractor’s Payment Request, composing a monthly project report, leading weekly project coordination meetings and administration of the Project Schedule. The computer software that I used on this project included: Primivara P3, Expedition, Lotus 123, Means Data for Lotus and Word Perfect 5.1.

President: As a small general contractor I estimated, managed and supervised commercial construction projects up to $500,000.00. Other responsibilities include all administrative and project management, job cost and financial accounting, contracting design firms for designs-build projects, and general and subcontract negotiation. As Sole Proprietor responsibilities include consulting on business and project management for custom home builder located in central Indiana.

Responsibilities included budgeting and bidding commercial construction projects, administrative project management, subcontractor review, scheduling, computerization of the shell project management department and job cost accounting.
Operations Manager, Interior Construction: Managed interior construction company with an annual volume of approximately $6,000,000. Responsibilities included direct management of four people, budgeting and estimating of interior construction projects, administrative project management, setting unit price estimating system, computerizing the estimating utilizing Lotus 123 and writing an operations manual.
1986 - 1988 Paul Harris Stores, Inc., Indianapolis, IN
Assistant Construction Manager: Owner’s representative for the construction, remodeling and maintenance of Paul Harris and Pasta specialty clothing stores. Responsibilities included administrative project management, working with corporate, sales and store management personnel, landlord representatives and contractors; On site construction inspections; Owner supplied lighting, including annual negotiation of lighting fixture prices, co-authoring of the store lighting manual; Pre-design inspections of perspective store spaces to prepare as built drawings for design of new stores.
