Met monthly with the Mayor and City Engineer for the review of safety and signalization matters. Received FEMA training and certification and was actively involved in the City’s emergency and disaster planning programs. Participated in management meetings with the departments of fire, police, street, traffic, water, urban forestry, and engineering.

Assisted with the bid letting process for public works projects as well as pre-bid and pre-construction meetings with general contractors and subcontractors. First internship involved working in the Survey Department.
