This is to submit my qualification for the position of construction Senior Project Manager and Project Manager. I have been working as Project Manager in the south Florida area for eighteen years. I worked for Stiles Construction Company for eleven years prior to working for Butters Construction & Development Company. The types of projects that I have been involved with include retail, office, condominium, complex and exclusive interior offices, medical, correctional and multi-family residential. Some specific examples include a 300,000 s.f. parking garage, a 24 story condominium consisting of twin towers totaling 240,000 s.f. plus a parking garage, 150,000 s.f. regional call center for Office Depot, re-construction of 400 Level at Pro Player Stadium, numerous retail centers, car dealerships, and office buildings ranging in size from 33,000 to 150,000 s.f. and numerous tenant interior projects ranging in value up to $4M. The main clients were AMB, AutoNation, Best Buy, CABI Developers, Craig Zinn Automotive Group, El Dorado Furniture, Office Depot, Premier Beverage, Premier Commercial Realty, Pro Player Stadium, Stiles Development Company, Winn Dixie and numerous tenant interiors.
The project format has also varied from in-house owner and architect to both third party owner and architect as well as each combination therein. The types of structures have included post-tensioned cast-in-place concrete, conventional cast-in-place concrete, precast concrete, tilt-wall and conventional masonry construction. Civil work has included dynamic compaction, lift stations, water & sewer and paving & drainage for numerous cities, counties and the State of Florida.
With other companies prior to Butters Construction and Stiles Construction Company, I was Superintendent of an eight-screen movie theater, Estimator of both commercial and multi-family residential projects, Project Manager of insurance disaster reconstruction projects, Project Manager of fast food restaurant construction and Project Manager of a medical facility for the Department of Corrections and Jackson Memorial Medical Center.
As Project Manager, I was responsible for all prime contract and subcontract administration, accurate and timely financial projections utilizing Prolog and Excel, control of all costs, creation and negotiation of prime contract and subcontract change orders, submittal review, processing of requests for information, generation of all correspondence, schedule creation and maintenance, supervision of field office personnel, generation and processing of prime contract applications for payment, review and approval of subcontractor applications for payment, chairing of all client meetings, satisfaction of client and design professionals' needs as applicable and ensuring compliance with all agencies having jurisdiction.
The experience generated by these successful projects enable me to effectively manage multiple projects on a Senior Project Manager level.
