You will serve as a Senior Nuclear Engineer for Temporary Shielding in the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department, Code 2310 of PSNS and IMF.
Learn more about this agency Responsibilities You will provide direction of nuclear engineering work involved with cradle to grave processes of naval vessel propulsion plant systems. You will provide engineering direction such as preparation, review and approval of Technical Work Documents and administrative documents in support of reactor plant procedures. You will coordinate and facilitate technical work accomplishment via mentoring, technical oversight, and technical review of work. You will mentor technical subordinates, functional area associates and departmental management in the application of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, division and functional area engineering and general engineering leadership principles. You will assess the distribution and balancing of work and provide input and advice to the branch head on technical factors affecting work distribution. Travel Required 25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position. Travel may be up to 25%.
